Marvin Garduno
Marvin Garduno, a Dallas native, attended Texas Tech University where he received his Bachelors and Masters in Music Education. He is currently the middle school orchestra director at the Grand Prairie Fine Arts Academy in Grand Prairie, Texas. Working alongside Richard Galvan, their orchestras consistently achieve superior rating at UIL contest and have also been invited to compete at the ASTA National Orchestra Festival at the high school and middle school level. In an effort to teach beyond the classroom, Mr. Garduno practices the flipped classroom approach by creating accessible content music educators and aspiring musicians can use as a tool to aid them in their musical adventure. Examples of this content range from videos, pictures, articles and the sharing of resources from other music educators, all of which can be found using his social media tag “That Flipping Orchestra Director”.
